Me
My name is Joel Thornton and I am 27 years old. I teach Mathematics at Passaic Valley High School. This is my fourth year teaching after Graduating from Montclair State University. I coach Varsity Football and Track & Field. I enjoy relaxing down the shore. I plan to become either an Athletic Director or Elementary School Principal. I am working on completing my Masters in Educational Leadership.

Joel- The pictures are great. Is there anything deeper in the photos that what appears to be on the surface?
Joel- I find it interesting that you teach in the High School but would want to be an elementary school principal. Have you had experience in an elementary school or just see how crazy the High School can be? I was just wondering since I'm also a High School math teacher and I would want to become a supervisor at the High School level.

Before I was a full-time teacher, I was a substitute teacher for Hackensack Public Schools. I was in the elementary school through high school. When I started teaching in the high school setting, I missed the excitement and energy in the elementary school setting. I also know what students need to be successful in the high school. As principal of an elementary school, I can develop necessary skills for student success.

I have a shore house and enjoy being down the shore. when I saw that picture it reminded me of great times at the shore.
